Have a passion for growing things?

Well I am not one to post a massive amount of links, but I can’t help share some goodies I found while window shopping online this morning. I love growing things, if I could grow all my own vegetables and fruits, I totally would. But lacking space and proper sunlight I try to grow things indoors when the plant permits, key word here is try. So without further babbling check out these links to start a small garden of your own:

Organic Dwarf Meyer Lemon
Organic Olive Tree Topiary
Planetarium Garden Lab
Window Box
Year of Seeds
Herbes de Provence Growing Kit

Magical Plant Garden
Grow Tomato or Bell Peppers in your appartment
Matchstick Garden Set
Garden in a Bag
Indoor Grass Planters
18 Piece Garden Tool Set

Sorry thats a lot of links, but also a lot of fun stuff too! Here are a few other things that I found that I have to have:

Cedar Tree Shadow Projector

Ok I think I got my link fix out for now. Enjoy!

I think Sai has to much time on his hands

Or hes smoking pot. Opened my email this morning to this little diddy:

“Misty, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called honah lee”

Much love Sai, much love.

My Pride and Joy… Well One of them Anyway

nero dog

Here he is, one of my little beasts. Meet (get ready for this) Emperor Lucius Claudius Nero. We just call him Nero, and a handful of other nicknames such as little man, little man man, domers, domo, neroshima, hef, and the list could go on. He is two now and a wild little animal, but I have to say, if you have any inclination of buying a Boston… DO IT! They are GREAT dogs. Very photogenic to boot.

Happy New Year!

After three years of pretty much down time, mistyautumn.com has been resurrected! And what better time to launch then the 1st of the year.

Most people make new year resolutions that they will never keep, or to overwhelming to accomplish. This year I am determined to fulfill my obtainable resolutions, why do I feel like I can keep my promise to myself? I am going to shoot for something I know very well I can do, create resolutions that I am passionate about which will full my fire to accomplish them.

So what are my resolutions for 2008? Well there are two of them:

Resolution #1: Reduce my impact on the earth, and I plan do to this by reducing my usage of plastics. Plastics are poison to our earths ecosystem and I am just as guilty as my neighbors when it comes to my usage of plastic bags. I’m talking about plastic shopping bags. My plan is to purchase canvas totes that are reusable. Another goal of mine to reduce my impact is to greatly reduce my eating out habits. Have you ever really looked at how much trash you collect by going to a fast food restaurant? Its insane. For those of you up for an experiment, for one week carry all your trash with you and you will be amazed how much it can amount to.

Resolution #2: Buy cruelty free hair and skin care. This is going to be one that will pose more of a difficult challenge. My mission now is to find a oil free moisturizer for my face that won’t clog my pours =]

So wish me luck on my resolutions, and if you have any suggestions please leave a comment.
